  • The NovaSensor P1905 Backside Absolute Pressure Sensor Die is a piezoresistive sensor die designed for absolute pressure measurements in aggressive (harsh) media. The die has a reference vacuum chamber formed by hermetic low-stress bonding of silicon cap to the top side of device wafer. By applying pressure from backside of the die, P1905sensor die eliminates the direct contact of sensor circuitry on top side with the applied media, which allows the P1905 die to measure pressure in aggressive liquids and gases. With NovaSensor’s SenStable® process, P1905 die features excellent long-term stability and repeatability (< 0.1% / year typ.).

  • The Thermometrics NTC Type RL of Cryogenics Thermistor Probes are designed for use in the range of 25°C/77°F (room temperature) to -196°C/-320.8°F (the boiling point of Liquid Nitrogen).
    Cryogenic thermistor probes consist of a pressed disc thermistor attached to #27 AWG silver lead wires. These units are very stable, exhibit no hysteresis effects,and rapid temperature cycling from 77°F to -320.8°F (25°C to -196°C) has no measurable effect on electrical, thermal or mechanical properties. These units are well suited for Cryogenic control applications such as liquid level in the 77°F to -320.8°F (25°C to -196°C) range. They may be used at temperatures below the Nitrogen Point with suitable instrumentation.

  • The Modus T Series of Differential Pressure Transmitters measure low pressures and feature low power consumption with a variety of analog signal outputs. A wide selection of standard pressure ranges and electrical ratings is available. These transmitters feature: no moving parts to wear out, reliable long term stability, and are virtually position insensitive.

    The Series T transmitters are an excellent choice for many HVAC, process and automation monitoring requirements. These transmitters monitor: filter differential pressures, fan static pressures, clean room pressures, variable air volume systems and velocity pressures. They have been used for bubbler level systems, leak detection and in medical and analytical instruments.

    The transmitters are housed in a flame retardant, glass-reinforced polyphenylene oxide (NORYL(tm)) case. Electrical connections are made by means of a 3/8" terminal strip with #6 screws.

    The Series T includes four models: Model T10, Model T20, Model T30 and Model T40. These four models incorporate a variety of power and signal options.

    The span or zero adjustment is performed with a 20-turn potentiometer for fine resolution.

The small die size is made possible by NovaSensor’s proprietary Silicon Fusion Bonding (SFB) process. When excited with an AC or DC voltage source, the P162 produces a mV output that is proportional to input pressure.

    The P162 is in a halfbridge design, where external resistors are needed to complete a full bridge configuration.

These transmitters feature: no moving parts to wear out, proven long term stability of piezoresistive devices, only 316 stainless steel in contact with the fluid, and all welded construction.

    Series W transmitters are an excellent choice for many HVAC, process and automation monitoring requirements. Typical applications include measurement of differential pressure across flow elements, heat exchangers, pumps, filters, liquid level monitoring and other demanding differential pressure measurement and control applications.

    The transmitters are housed in a compact heavy duty gasketted cast aluminum enclosure designed to IP 65 of IEC 529 standards and NEMA 4. The die cast aluminum enclosure incorporates a recessed neoprene gasket to prevent ingress of moisture or dust. Wall mounting holes are enclosed in the cast aluminum box and concealed by the cover. The wall mounting holes and the cover attaching screws are outside the gasketted area. Access to the electrical terminals are made through knockouts on the front of the box. A choice of one or two knockouts and three hole sizes is available to accommodate usage of 1/2" conduit or metric sizes PG11 and PG13. Pluggable terminal block connectors are provided with wire protection and captive terminal screws.

    An integrated circuit silicon sensor chip is housed in a standard TO-8 electrical package that is printed circuit board mountable. The latest techniques in micromachining have been used to ion-implant piezoresistive strain gauges into a wheatstone bridge configuration that is integrally formed on a micromachined silicon diaphragm. As with all NovaSensor silicon sensors, the NPH Series employs SenStable® processing technology, providing excellent output stability. Constant current excitation to the sensor produces a voltage output that is linearly proportional to the input pressure. The user can provide standard signal conditioning circuitry to amplify the 100 mV output signal. The sensor is compatible with most non-corrosive gases and dry air. A laser-trimmed, thick-film resistor network on a hybrid ceramic substrate provides temperature compensation.

  • The Thermometrics NTC Type AB6 Series Thermistor Assemblies consist of small thermobeads and GCs (chip-in-glass) that are welded to insulated extension leads. Thermobead and GC assemblies are used where a small thermistor must be further connected to longer leads, and for applications requiring fast response measurements in confined spaces.

    The thermobeads or GC (chip-in-glass) are hermetically sealed in glass and have fine diameter 0.0007 in to 0.004 in (0.01778 mm to 0.1016 mm) platinum alloy leads. The platinum leads are cut short and welded to insulated extension leads and the joints are covered in one of several insulation types, depending upon the application or environment. The assembly is then ready for insertion into hypodermic needles, catheters or other small housings that require extended leads.
